PlanetSpark Inks Deal with OYO, to establish new Learning centres

PlanetSpark, an Edtech startup, has made a partnership with OYO Hotels &Homes, ET reported on Tuesday. This educational partnership is important for PlanetSpark as it is looking to expand its operations across India.

As a part of the deal, OYO will provide space for the Edtech startup in OYO Townhouse to setup over 500 new-age learning centres for children in the country.

PlanetSpark, which is also backed by FIITJEE, said that with its current learning centres across seven metropolitan cities, it is looking to scale up and meet the demand that is being generated on its mobile app and other digital platforms.

Kunal Malik, the co-founder of PlanetSpark, stated that after talking to the hospitality company, PlanetSpark learned that OYO too had plans to scale up their supply within a few months. Therefore, the company felt that instead of putting in its efforts separately, it would be beneficial to make a partnership to have a force multiplier. Furthermore, PlanetSpark only intended to join hands with a trusted brand where there is full safety for children.

The learning centres housed in OYO Townhouse will cater students from KG to Standard 8. PlanetSpark intends to use the centres as ‘a student can learn anything model’. Expert guidance from teachers across the country will help the company to operate the new model.

The company has an app for the public where parents can rip the benefits from contents such as learning games, videos, cartoons, quizzes, and quests in order to teach their children.
